Gifts in wills are vital for The Centre’s work in retraining and providing a safe home for former racehorses. Many of the horses we help go on to enjoy a fulfilling second career as eventers, show jumpers, happy hackers, or companions, bringing much love and joy to their new owners. They rely on the kindness of horse lovers like you. So, please consider leaving a legacy in your will, or donating in memory of a loved one. Your gift will be so important in helping us provide forever homes for more horses in need.
A gift in your will can mean:
- A warm stable, food, bedding and grazing for our horses as long as they need it
- A dedicated professional team including carers, trainers and vets for every ex-racehorse that comes into our care
- Onsite specialised facilities such as our high dependency unit.
How to leave a gift in your will
Gifts to charity are free of inheritance tax. Leaving a gift to charity in your will could also reduce the rate of inheritance tax paid on your estate. We recommend that you have a discussion with your chosen solicitor to assess which is the best option for you, your other beneficiaries, and our charity.
